We’d originally been aiming for a late August–September 2026 launch. That date’s moving. We’re now targeting late January 2027; and honestly, once we sat with it, we liked the new date more than the old one.
Here’s the real reasoning, no spin:
The extra runway is going straight back into the game. A few more months means more time in HIIT Mode balancing, more time tuning difficulty curves across all five levels, and more time making sure Skyrats, Brutes, and the rest of the roster feel as good to fight as they do on paper. We’d rather ship the version we’re actually proud of than hit an arbitrary date with rough edges still showing.
January is just a smarter launch window for this specific game. We make a VR fitness game. Late January is when a huge wave of people are unwrapping new Quest headsets, figuring out what to play, and – not coincidentally – trying to keep a New Year’s resolution alive. “Your music, your workout, their funeral” hits a lot harder in a month when half the internet is looking for exactly that. We’d be leaving that alignment on the table if we rushed out the door in September just to hit an earlier date.
It also gives us room to do this properly on the marketing side – trailer, press, showcases, the works – instead of compressing all of that into a tight summer window while we’re still heads-down on the build.
None of this changes what the game is. Dual-sword combat, your own music, a subway tunnel full of mutant pigeons and chihuahuas of unusual size – all of that’s staying exactly as ambitious as it was. We’re just giving it a launch date that actually does it justice.
More updates as we get closer. As always, thanks for sticking with us.
